Caridina serriatirostris "Ninja"




Apperance: Probably it is type of Neocaridina denticulata without pigmentation (not albinotic). This shrimp is transparent with black eyes. Eggs are completely white
Origin: Unknown
Size: Males to 2 cm, females to 2,5 cm. Females are more massive
Water conditions: Temp 20 - 28 C, pH 6,5-7. Water from soft to hard
Tank layout: Just like for Caridinas - hideouts, roots, plants, sand substrate, beech or oak leafs on the bottom
Food: Algae, artificial aliments with spirulin. Living or frozen food from time to time.
Breeding:No larvae stadium. Female carries about 40 eggs for about 3 - 4 weeks. Young ones become mature in age of 3-6 months.



Tank for these shrimps doesn't have to be big, minimum size is 12 liter. It presents itself very nice on dark substrate. They look very nice even with little light. It's quite cowardly shrimp but it doesn't hide. You should be extremely careful when catching them, because it might jump out of cup or pipe. So delicate appearance compose very nice with java moss, dark roots, and oak or bleech lives. There should be sand and delicate interior decoration. With big decoration elements beauty of this shrimp is unnoticeable. Eggs, which female carries, are also snow white, what makes unforgettable view.
